SOURCING

Product Sourcing

There are many steps in identifying the right factory:

Step 1 – Build an Inquiry

Our team follows a thorough process to narrow down 3-5 factories that have absolute experience, capability, equipment and an obvious focus on customer service.

Step 2 – Build a Quotation

From there, we send your detailed specifications and RFQ (Request for Quotation) to obtain pricing and if necessary, it is also translated. Direct translation of needs, minimizes the potential for miscommunication. Ultimately, this step lends authenticity to your request, which reduces the time required for quotation, and reduces the risk of any errors.

Once the factory has the opportunity to review the RFQ, we can then create an accurate quotation with associated delivery and timeline information.

After this, our team will work with our clients and review the project in full. Once terms are agreed upon, it is time to employ due diligence on the selected manufacturer.

Step 3 – Due Diligence

We determine license type: Is the factory properly licensed for international trade? Inspect the condition of the factory, check factory certifications. Does the company have sufficient operating capital to take on your project? We examine the factory export history and assess references from additional exported projects that the factory has a collaborated with.

Step 4 – Build a Contract

Once due diligence is completed, we will work for you to build a binding contract with your manufacturing partner. We negotiate the price and terms, to offer you a competitive advantage. Our contracts ensure legal enforcement of agreements, and are based on the jurisdiction of local courts in the chosen manufacturers’ country. Local jurisdiction offers greater protection than Home-based contracts, making disputes less likely and resolutions more obtainable

Step 5 – Build QC Checklist

This is the tool we use to measure quality, and we ‘discuss it with our customers at every point of the production cycle. Digital photos are taken upon completion of every line item on the checklist, representing completion of each point and ensuring no surprises in quality once you’ve received your final negotiating terms & contract.

Step 6 – Sign, Seal & Deliver

After the final sign-off by all parties, your container is sealed and delivered to the port of destination. We manage the entire logistics process, and track your production at every stage of the journey.
